Hey there!! We’re Erin and Paul
We’re a husband-and-wife duo who fell in love with flying, travel, and the freedom that comes from chasing adventure together. Based in Phoenix, AZ, we started documenting our journey as student pilots, sharing the real, unpolished process of earning our licenses and ratings. From IFR training in Alaska to aerobatics in Thailand, we’ve always believed aviation should be more than a checklist to get ratings– it’s an avenue for adventure .

That story has brought us to where we are now: We’re building the world’s first Bearhawk 5 “Camper Plane” – an experimental aircraft designed to take us off-grid for days at a time. Our mission in building this plane, in this way, is to truly enable us to travel full time and showcase all the US has to offer on and off the runway. We are looking forward to highlighting the top unique experiences on and just off airports in each state, with the goal and hope to continue to stimulate the growth of GA in the US.

Between now and the launch of our 50 state journey, we will be documenting the build out of the Camper Plane here in Chandler, AZ. The launch of our 50 state series will kick off at the completion of the build – anticipating mid January 2026. This next chapter is our biggest one yet – and we’re excited to have you along for the ride!
